The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E is gaining upgrades for the new model year, including a new rear motor that helps provide increased range. This all-electric SUV will also charge faster than before, with the standard-range battery charging quicker from 10 to 80 percent.

Key Upgrades

Ford is introducing upgrades for the 2024 model year Mustang Mach-E in Exeter, PA, including a lighter rear motor developed by Ford that helps improve torque and range. This new motor allows the rear-wheel drive Premium model with extended-range battery to achieve more miles on a full charge, an increase over the previous model near Scranton. The standard-range battery rear-wheel drive Select model now can travel further when fully charged.

For faster charging, Ford has reduced times across the lineup for drivers near Pittston, PA. Extended-range battery models will now charge from 10 to 80 percent quicker than before. Standard-range battery models will charge 10 to 80 percent faster than before. Mustang Mach-E owners near Wilkes Barre, PA, can now also access the Tesla Supercharger network using an adapter.

The Mach-E GT lineup has been reconfigured. The GT Performance model is discontinued, with Ford instead offering a Performance Upgrade package for the GT that adds more torque. The package brings powertrain thermal modeling to maintain max output near Kingston, PA, and Dallas, PA.

With the GT Performance model dropped, Ford has added more standard features to the regular GT. The new rear motor gives the GT extra range when fully charged. The Mach-E's 15.5 inch touchscreen interface has also been tweaked, with new button icons for easier access to important information. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain standard, and BlueCruise hands-free driving assist is offered.
